A personality theory is a theory that attempts to describe and explain similarities and differences in people's patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior. Personality theories can be roughly grouped under four basic perspectives: psychoanalytic, humanistic, social cognitive and trait.
Primary Post: discuss the personality theory you find most appealing and why. In your answer, be sure to identify the theorist(s) and explain and relevant concepts that are associated with the theory as well as any criticisms.
Secondary Post: describe a "possible self" that is part of your self-concept, and explain how it has affected behavior.
