Describe and compare social stratification (class, caste, rank) among three of the following people: Çatalhöyük (c.7,000 BC), Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, Greece, & Rome. In each society how was rank or class determined? Was there any chance for mobility? Give specific examples from sources where possible. If you had to be at the absolute lowest level of one of these societies which would it be and why? (Remember that some of these societies had slavery- and that would be the lowest level in those societies).
