Q: Some have argued that the best approach to fight high tech crime is the use of deterrents. For instance, it has been argued that high-technology defenses such as intrusion detection, will decrease the likelihood that a website will be hacked. Do you think that deterrents would have a greater effect on high tech crime than they do on traditional crime? If so why or why not?
