Describe a past or current personal ethical dilemma

Assignment:

1. Describe a past or current personal ethical dilemma you have faced or are facing. If you find this to be too personal (and assuming you can do so without breaching a confidence), you may use someone else's personal ethical dilemma if that person sought out your advice or otherwise confided in you.

2. Use the Modified Trevino & Nelson Model for Ethical Decision Making(file 2) to analyze your dilemma and provide guidance on what action you should take or if a past dilemma, to analyze and comment on the option you chose or in retrospect should have chosen. Regardless of which framework you use, be sure to apply all of the model's prescriptive reasoning approaches to the action options you considered or are considering to resolve your dilemma ("action options").

3. If one prescriptive-reasoning approach yields a different action option when compared to another reasoning approach, then explain how you would resolve this conflict and which action option you ultimately chose or would ultimately choose. If you are analyzing a past dilemma and your current prescriptive analysis dictates a different action than the one you actually took, please explain. Why do you think you chose the action option you chose?

4. Be sure to use complete sentences, well-constructed paragraphs, headings and subheadings as a way to organize and effectively present your thoughts and reasoning by topic. Actually proofread (do not simply use your word-processing software's spell-check tool) and edit the paper before submitting it.
