Write a 1+ page paper that addresses the following:
a. Explain your diagnosis for the patient, including your rationale for the diagnosis.
b. Describe an appropriate drug therapy plan based on the patient's history, diagnosis, and drugs currently prescribed.
c. Justify why you would recommend this drug therapy plan for this patient. Be specific and provide examples.
Case study assigned
Patient HL comes into the clinic with the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The patient has a history of drug abuse and possible Hepatitis C. HL is currently taking the following prescription drugs:
a. Synthroid 100 mcg daily
b. Nifedipine 30 mg daily
c. Prednisone 10 mg daily
Do any of HL's medications interact with his/her hepatitis? Would you change dosages or discontinue any medications? Important things to consider: Are there combination medications to decrease pill burden? How would you make HL's drug therapy plan the most cost effective? Are there drug interactions between any of HL's medications? What about drug-disease interactions? Would you discontinue any medications, change the dosage, and/or add medications to HL's regimen? How would HL's age, gender, and ethnicity affect treatment?Format your assignment according to the give formatting requirements:
