In an organization, decisions are made which can affect many stakeholders. The decision making process advocated by Vilfredo Pareto referred to as the Pareto principle or Pareto optimality described in the text stated that each person's needs be met without loss, or very minimal loss to another. In order to accomplish the goal managers need to strive to reach consensus and compromise as much as possible. The process requires a synergistic approach during the decision making process. The approach is necessary in making decisions concerning new programs or changes in a process.
