Assignment task: Build a benchmark table:
- Select a product, process, website, or organization you would like to be the subject of your benchmarking exercise
- Select at least three specific business products, processes, websites, or organizations you would like to benchmark.
- Identify three distinct criteria related to the focus of your benchmarking exercise that can be used to evaluate and compare your chosen subjects.
- Decide how each of the criteria will be measured (e.g., yes/no, degree, amount, scale, etc.).
- Describe a benchmarking table that lists criteria in the left-hand column and the selected products, processes, websites, or organizations to benchmark in the top row.
- Fill in the table.
- Give each product, process, website, or organization an overall score or grade to establish which best meets the three benchmarking criteria.
Provide at least one paragraph explaining the value of completing this exercise.
