Density of the material of the necklace

A woman started a new job as an assistant to a jeweler. Her boss just received a very heavy necklace whose owner claims it is made of pure gold, so the boss asks the woman to determine whether the necklace owner's claims are true. The only tool the woman has at her disposal is a spring scale. Using the spring scale, she determines the weight of the necklace as 5.0 N in the air and 4.0 N in water. Knowing that the density of water is 1000 kg/m^3 she determines the density of the material of the necklace. Then she looks in her textbook to compare her answer to the density of gold which is given as 19300 kg/m^3. What did she likely tell her boss regarding if the necklace was made of pure gold? Support your answer with calculations. In all calculations take gravitational acceleration as g = 10 m/s^2.
