Health information systems represent the totality of an organization's electronic and technological capability. Improvement of patient outcomes, safety, and care are directly interdependent of all systems utilized in the organization.
Select one surfacing technological tool/advance/innovation used in a healthcare system.-Determine a workflow in which the tool may be utilized and implemented into practice.-Be sure to address to identify strengths, weaknesses, and how the tool will assist in the patient care delivery.
The following are examples of technological advances in healthcare organizations: artificial intelligence, Telemedicine, vein finders, blood analyzers, cloud, automated medication administration systems, block chains.
