You are to design a proposal for a quality improvement project for a potential or actual system-based error that you have noticed in your workplace (former or current) or even in your home. This error can be "trivial" (for example, patients' dentures that continuously go missing).
You will then write a report regarding the proposal. This 800 word report should include:
• a description of the error and how it was identified
• a description of the investigation into the cause of the error (mini Root Cause Analysis), with reference to relevant literature
• a description of the possible solutions to prevent further error, and
• a quality improvement plan (relating to the chosen solution) detailing what changes were made and how and also how these changes might be evaluated and maintained.
Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts that you have been developing though the course.
