I: Group Presentation:
Definition of the identified high risk family; what makes this family high risk? And why?
Identification of the population at high risk
Provide most recent statistical data (last five years) associated with the identified high risk family.
Identification of risk factors associated with the identified high risk family
Identification of signs and symptoms with the identified high risk family
Identification of high risk family systems stressors
Summarize differences (if discrepancies exist) between how family members and clinicians view effects of stressful situation on family
Summarize family strengths and weaknesses in this high risk family.
Identification of the medical and nursing interventions that aids in the prevention and management of the health problem with the high risk family.
What Family Nursing Theory would you use with this high risk family? And why?
Future needs of this high risk family
II: Teaching and Nursing Plan:
Develop a teaching plan to aid in decreasing a family’s risk for the problems and complications associated with the high risk family.
Incorporate health promotion and health prevention measures for the community within the presentation.
III: Paper:
Should not be more than 3 papers, double-spaced, and in APA format.
Use recent peer-reviewed articles and journals that address the high risk family.
Includes references i.e. Internet, nursing journals etc. (Use of APA style for citations)
