Definition of and the characteristics for greek tragedy


Assignment:

This will be a three-page, five paragraph essay with a one-sentence Thesis in the introduction, which will be at least nine sentences. Thesis is underlined.

In the introduction you will quote and discuss Aristotle's Definition of and the characteristics for Greek Tragedy and the Tragic Hero. The info will be on the Works Cited page and in-text citations.

Your thesis will give your opinion as to whether Willy Loman ,or Biff Loman, or Linda Loman, are Tragic Heroes.

Each will have his or her own paragraph.

The Body paragraphs will be paragraphs two, three and four with topic sentences that support the thesis in these paragraphs and explain why you came to the conclusion that you did.

Paragraph five will be your conclusion, which will summarize what you have stated in your essay.

Every paragraph will be indented five spaces. Books, plays and web sites are underlined or italicized. Short stories, essays and articles are in quotation marks or italicized.

The essay is worth 100 points. If you use a phrase or idea from any outside source, you must have a Works Cited page and in-text citations. Carefully check MLA style!!
