3) Regarding U.S./Mexico relations, the writer quotes a source on page 80, the U.S. investigator says: "Americans couldn't give a shit about anything to do with Mexico, unless it affects their beach time." Is this valid criticism? Based on events of the past and present, why has Mexico grown to distrust its neighbor, the United States? What "betrayals" are mentioned in the book?
