Discussion Post: Morality- Healthcare Policy and Ethics
Read about the work of Purtilo and Doherty (2011), who divide morality into three categories: personal, social, and group. Review this section of the chapter, then respond to the following questions:
a) Define the term moral integrity.
b) Explain each category of morality outlined by Purtilo and Doherty.
c) Are there circumstances where the three categories can be in conflict with one another and a person still maintain moral integrity? Give an example.
d) What role do you play as a "co-creator" in each of the categories?
