Culture jamming is a form of subverting. Many culture jams are intended to expose questionable political assumptions behind commercial culture. The website adbuster seemed a little strange but I believe the website is to debunk curtain ads that are false. Ads can be a form of cultural imperialism because of the popularity and message that is conveyed to the overall consumer.
