The Scenario: John is a 45-year-old manager of a Vancouver retail store that sells home furniture. He has worked there for 20 years. it is John's experience that younger employees are too lazy. John would rather hire a new employee with years of retail experience rather than a recent university graduate. in fact, when he hires Sasha, a young female employee from a foreign country, he "just knows" she will be lazy and treats her that way. He also knows that when major mistakes happen at work it is never his fault, but somebody else's. And so, when Sasha comes to work and is doing poorly that day, he thinks that all his opinions are proven right!
