Problem:
This short written assignment is designed to help you recognize the social psychological processes at play in the world around you. I am asking for help to identify a real- world situation that illustrates one or more of the social psychological theories or phenomena discussed in class or course readings.
What to include.(e.g., Self-Fulfilling Prophecy, the Actor-Observer Effect), theories (e.g., Theory of Planned Behavior) and other key concepts (e.g., implicit bias).
You MUST clearly reference by name at least one social psychological process discussed in lecture or course readings. Be sure to do the following in your paper:
1) Explain/define the relevant social psychological processe(es).
2) Explain how the situation or example you have chosen illustrates that process.
3) Consider why that process occurred (i.e., the underlying reason)
4) Consider the consequences or implications of that process for the people involved.
