Customers are top of the apex Medrad, a US-based leading worldwide provider of medical devices and services recently won a prestigious award for quality, which was presented by President Bush at the White House. The business's chief executive officer (CEO) explaining the business's success said that at Medrad the customer was placed at the top of the business's organisation chart.
[An organisation chart is a diagram showing the hierarchy of importance of managers and staff and usually has the CEO at the top.] Why the customer? ‘Because the customer can fire (or sack) the whole company at any time,' said the CEO.
