In the context of Chapter explanations on rape and this video on date rape (above), what does explain date rape? Also, besides what is discussed in the textbook, do you think are there elements of American culture that might promote crimes against women? Is there anything in the media or in sports that might cause sexual violence? What about our religious and/or political beliefs? If so, what can be done to change or alter those cultural effects?
Minimum of 300 words and use, discuss a minimum of the two of the explanations for rape and a discussion on values of the American culture that may promote sexual crimes against women.

Based on the definition and "the Nature and Extent of Hate Crimes" in the Chapter, Section "Contemporary Forms of Interpersonal Violence," what drives some people to commit hate crimes? Also, arestate and federal laws enough to stop hate crimes? What do you think is the best approach/strategy to prevent and control hate crime?
