Homework: Ego Personality Paper
During the readings you had the opportunity to look at various theories in the psychoanalytic school of thought to explore the unconscious mind and the development of personality. In this week's homework you will now be able to share your understanding of two of these early theories.
This Homework will measure your understanding of the similarities and differences between Freud's and Jung's view of the ego, and the role of the ego in behavior and personality development.
You will complete a 2 to 3 pages expository paper by looking at one of the central disagreements between Jung and Freud, by focusing on their views of the ego.
1. Define the ego according to Freud.
2. Define the ego according to Jung.
3. Compare and contrast the two views, showing at least two similarities and at least two differences.
4. Discuss how the two differences can impact behavior and personality development.

1. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
