Define reagent required and methodology for picric acid test?
Reagents
- Sugar solutions of glucose, fructose, galactose, lactose, maltose, sucrose and starch.
- Saturated solution of picric acid 10% sodium carbonate solution.
Methodology
To 5 ml of sugar solution taken in a test tube add 2 ml of picric acid solution and 1 ml of sodium carbonate solution.
