A major drug manufacturer has created a medication that has proven to lengthen the life of terminally ill cancer patients. It does not cure the cancer but in 95% of the patients it has proven to lengthen their life by 1-2 years. Unfortunately in the other 5% it kills them instantly.

Should the drug manufacturer sell this medication?
If the percentages change (99% and 1%, or 50% and 50%) or the lifespan (2 months, unknown, etc...) does that change whether the drug manufacturer should sell the medication?
