A. Define "Network Security" and "Cyber Security" and identify the differences between them.
B. Identify two online resources that JTS can refer to or subscribe to that will keep them informed of current cyber security threats.
C. Define "DDoS" and "Ransomware"
D. Provide an example of both DoS & ransomware including:
a. the name and CVE
b. a brief description of what they do
c. the business consequences for JTS's business if they were exposed to such attacks
d. At least two steps that can be taken to mitigate each type of attack (two for each)?
E. List two methodologies that can be used to troubleshoot network connectivity.
F. JTS staff often have problems logging on to their computers and also with their internet connection, define three utilities or commands that will assist JTS staff in identifying and troubleshooting connectivity problems
a. Explain what each of these utilities or commands does
b. Provide an example of how to use each of them
c. Develop and provide basic instructions that a 'level 1 service desk operator' could follow to assist a user to attempt to resolve network connectivity issues at JTS, this must include the utilities and commands from the previous question above and anything else you deem pertinent to a 'level 1 service desk operator'.
