Classical criminology, deterrence theory, and modem rational choice theory have all had a profound and lasting impact on criminal law and criminal justice policy in the United States and throughout the world. Thinking about crime on the CSULB campus (see the California State University Long Beach 2018 Minna! Security Report for information about crime on campus) recommend a policy or practice change that would be consistent with any of these theories and might help to reduce crime on campus.
