Paper, should be three pages minimum in length (double spaced, size 12 font, Times New Roman). Please use APA or other recognized style, and use at least three sources (in addition to the textbook which should be the primary source) to support your position. Sources should include scholarly books/articles, and not only internet website sources. In your paper, please answer the questions below:
- The textbook contends that "the all-white jury has been a staple of the American criminal justice system for most of our history". How has that come to be, and remain in some respects even today?
- In your response, please describe how the Strauder v. West Virginia Supreme Court decision effected racial discrimination in jury selection, and what progress has been made since that decision.
- Also, define "jurymandering" and discuss the pros and cons of using it to increase racial diversity on juries.
