Define early ebb or shock phase - Physiological Response to injury?

This is usually brief in duration lasting 12 to 24 hours and occurs immediately following injury. Blood pressure, cardiac output, body temperature and oxygen consumption are reduced. These are often associated with haemorrhage and result in hypo perfusion and lactic acidosis. As the blood volume is restored, more accelerated responses occur.
