Define and then clearly and succinctly state your issue -

The issue must be a Prescriptive Issue. Length of document meets 1500-word minimum. Topic is the same as the Group Project topic. Issue is clearly and succinctly stated as a yes/no question AND the issue is different from the Group Project issue. Reasoning structure of the argument is strong. The reasons are woven together in such a way as to present a strong case for the point-of-view being presented.

Ambiguity is minimal or non-existent. References are cited.

Your final paper requires the following:

Write a thorough and complete argument that supports your point of view/opinion/stance on an issue related to your topic.

NOTE: The issue you choose CANNOT be the same issue addressed by the Group Project; but it needs to be related to the same topic.

You can choose any issue related to the topic that interests you - as long as it is different from the issue addressed in the Group Project.

The Final Project must address a PRESCRIPTIVE ISSUE. Do not choose a Descriptive Issue as this is not acceptable. If you are not clear on the difference between prescriptive and descriptive issues, review textbook Chapter 3, What Are the Issues and the Conclusions?

Define and then clearly and succinctly state your issue (State this as a yes/no question)

State your conclusion (Your answer to the question posed by your issue)

Provide:

reasons,

a sound reasoning structure, and sufficient evidence to support your point of view.

Your argument must be well-developed and complete!

Cite the sources of your information (some of these sources may be the same sources used in your Group Project. You must also include additional/different sources if they are necessary to support your argument).

Your paper should be a minimum of 1500 words. Direct, succinct, and to the point!
