Ariely (2009) discusses social norms in chapter 4. Social norms play a role in influencing various types of behavior such as drinking, exercise, smoking and even prejudice.
In your discussion:
1) Define and discuss the concept of social norms and how it affects decision making. This discussion should include your own unique examples and discussion of the information (not just a summary of the readings).
2) Choose a behavior that is impacted by social norms (you can use one of the behaviors listed above or find another behavior). Discuss how social norms play a role in the behavior you chose.
3) Find at least one scholarly journal article to support your thoughts. You will also use this article for your Week 3 assignment.
4) Use your text as an additional source to support your discussion.
