Define and classified parallel forces
Sol.: The forces, the lines of action of which are parallel to each other, are called as parallel forces. They do not meet at one point (that is Non-concurrent force). The parallel forces can be broadly classified into the following 2 categories, depending on their direction.
There are 2 types of parallel force
1. LIKE PARALLEL FORCES
The forces the lines of action of which are parallel to each other and all of them act in same direction are called as like parallel forces.
2. UNLIKE PARALLEL FORCES
The forces the lines of actions of which are parallel to each other, and all of them do not act in the same direction are called as unlike parallel forces.
