Define age related changes in Special Senses
Presbyopia (decline in the ability to focus near objects), senile cataract etc. can be observed as eye dysfunction. Ear shows diminished sensitivity (presbyeusis). Differentiating various sounds and speeches are hampered. Reduced mobility of transmission of sound in these areas in the ear can be observed. Sensation of smell also changes, but the tactile responses remain for a much longer time.
