• Google Drive Upload Tutorial

Your presentation should be a minimum of 10 minutes, with at least 13 slides used. Additionally, your presentation should be a culmination of your entire project addressing all aspects of your project (the history, purpose statement, research question, how the literature found supports your findings, what test you used and why, representation of data, what data means from a Manager/Leader perspective, and recommendations). Please follow APA formatting guidelines with at least two citations (in-text and reference list match) from peer-reviewed journals. PLEASE READ ATTACHED RUBRIC.

NOTE FROM PROFESSOR: "What I wanted to do is take a little bit of your time to speak with you about your final project. The final project is a presentation where you will be using a screen authoring program that will basically record your PowerPoint as you go through it as well as your audio. So there are tutorials that located to help you in learning the program. There are also tutorials in helping you upload at your Google Drive so you can share that URL with your instructor for final submission.

A couple of things that I want you to start think about as you start approaching the presentation is that it's really important for you to be able to display what you discovered through out the last six weeks working within your project, in a very succinct way. So the presentation allows you to be able to show your expertise of what you have learned.

It's important when you are putting together your presentation that you do not clog you slides, you use the five by five rule. You do not read your slides, you are basically using your slides as guides. So it allows your audience to be able to focus be able what you are saying by using the visuals that you've given in front of them.

And think of the visuals that go as far as displaying your data, different ways to show what that data means which is really important when you start sitting in within your position as a leader and a manager to say, all right how do I affect effectively present this information to either a board, my CEO or my employees. So this presentation covers a lot of different grounds to not only show how good you are and how knowledgeable you are on the topic you have just studied, but to go above and beyond to allow to hone those skills at being a good presenter and allowing you to be able to find your style, what is appropriate for you."

Define a business problem including problem statement, purpose, objective and any research questions you want to answer with the research..

You will construct a final project that demonstrates your knowledge of the manager/leaders role as it pertains to analyzing data to make informed decisions. To get started, select a problem/topic of interest associated with your workplace that you feel your supervisor of CEO would ask you to "look into, and come up with a recommendation in the next month or so." If this is currently not an option for you, consider some of the following topics:

• Reducing transportation costs for a fleet of delivery trucks,

• Determining best policies and practices in implementing an employee exit system, or

• Identifying options to reduce the time in a known product development process bottleneck.

Part 1: Presenting the Problem

You will construct a final project that demonstrates your knowledge of the manager/leaders role as it pertains to analyzing data to make informed decisions. You must select a problem/topic of interest associated with your workplace that you feel your supervisor of CEO would ask you to "look into, and come up with a recommendation in the next month or so." (NOTE: Choose a topic/problem that is feasible and not too complex for the scope of the course.) If this is currently not an option for you, consider some of the following topics:

• Reducing transportation costs for a fleet of delivery trucks,
• Determining best policies and practices in implementing an employee exit system, or
• Identifying options to reduce the time in a known product development process bottleneck.

You need to define a business problem including problem statement, purpose, objective and research questions. You will construct a memo to your boss (use the Parts of a Memo guide to help you with writing and formatting). Within the memo, you will present the business problem, the purpose of the study (example statement: "The purpose of the study is to gain information to address the problem introduced in week 1"), followed by a relevant and testable research question. Remember to avoid the overuse of personal pronouns. The research question should adhere to the following guidelines:

1. formation of question is based on theory, previous research and experience;
2. stated in the form of a question; and
3. is focused and clear (i.e., specific, measurable, and feasible).

The professor wrote sent this to the general class: "Within your memo, think about and be able to inform him of the following in some manner:

What are you exactly trying research? What is the purpose of your research? What is/are the research questions are you trying to answer with data for statistical analysis? What data will you collect to complete statistical analysis?"
