Please note that I''m doing a PhD in Business management under the title: Technology transfer and competitive advantage in Qatar oil and gas companies.
It is a quantitative study and I will use questionnaire for the data collection and I''m going to use SEM for the analysis.
The unit of analysis is the firm. The population is not enough for the study because Qatar oil and gas industry has only 9 companies.
Therefore, I am thinking to change the subject to: "Technology transfer and competitive advantage in Qatar oil and gas industry" and the unit of analysis will be the industry. Then I will collect the data from the managerial level in that industry. The population is 2100 managers in the 9 companies and sample size will be 210 manager (selected randomly).
My question, is it a right solution? your suggestions are highly appreciated.
