Daniel rubin ted talk response

Problem:

Daniel Rubin's TED Talk (2013) was very interesting as it makes perfect sense. WE need to take the time to rest, reflect and just contemplate how valuable our time is. In today's world we are running around doing things - work, school, activities, and it never seems to be enough time to just BE. his talk focused on his background and as an Orthodox Jew, how important celebrating the Sabbath is to him and the time it affords him to reflect on life, work, and everything that makes us "busy" people. I too have a busy life - work, class work, exercising, and other activities that I do to occupy my time. Rubin's talk reminds me that it is essential to living and our health, both physical and spiritual, to take moments to slow down and appreciate what we have. Having a structure to one's life can help to balance our lives and consider if the direction that we are following is the right path. The key is to have a structure, plan, and organize my time to best suit my life. As a professional, academic student, I need structure and a way to manage my time to get things done. It is also essential to take time to pause when things get overwhelming and stress rears its ugly head. I have found that taking one day out of the week to just do nothing and BE lets me recharge my batteries and prepare myself for any challenges that may be coming my way in the week ahead. Some find a structure not necessary to manage time, but I find that if I plan in my head what I do each day, it helps managing that chaos that life throws at you.
