Currently the FMLA does not require employers to pay their employees while on leave. There is interest in many states and municipalities to require employers to pay employees while on family and medical leave. Take a position whether you want to see all employers be required to pay employees or not pay employees while they are on their sick leave, then explain your position and rationale.
