Problem: Capstone Project
The capstone project requires you to identify and address key human resource management (HRM) challenges in a real-world workplace. You will use this same workplace for the entire project. The first step of the project is identifying a workplace to analyze. We encourage you to use your own workplace or workgroup. If you are not working or cannot use your own workplace for some reason, then here are some alternative suggestions:
Interview a family member or a friend to learn about their work unit.
Use a contact, such as a family member, friend, or professor, to find an HR person at an organization to interview.
You can use LinkedIn to find people to interview and learn more about a work unit within a specific organization.
Create your own work unit in a realistic but fictitious organization. Start with a product or service you want to deliver, and then think about building an organization to do this.
