Please help me get started on the following questions:
1. Create a theme the author explores throughout the novel.
2. Once you determine a theme, you should ask how does the author develop the theme? Your answers will help generate body paragraphs. For example, does the author use a societal issue to develop a theme? More than one societal issues? (Obviously you would have to be familiar with a bit of history related to the time period but you are assigned background material in your reading for various stages of society's development.) You then might develop several body paragraphs that focus on societal issues and how the author develops his/her theme in the novel highlighting these issues.
