Scenario: You are the Professional Development manager at Elite Worldwide Solutions. You are planning a professional training day for 40 of your employees. You asked Mitesh Gabani, a communications specialist, to deliver a three-hour workshop to your employees. When you spoke with Mitesh, you were impressed with his material and instructional style. You were, however, surprised to discover that he charges approximately $2800 for a session of 40 people. You heard from other managers that his session called "Improving Workplace Communication" was excellent and well worth the cost. You think it's worth it and that it will be a big success.
When you discussed the fee with your boss, she approved it. You were really surprised about that! On August 30, Mitesh sent you an email saying that he could conduct the session on September 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Send Mitesh an email confirming the date, time and session name. In your email, tell Mitesh not to park in the employee parking lot. It would be a big mistake! He should not use this lot because he does not have an employee parking sticker. Also, tell him to meet you in your office 30 minutes before the session. He must not be late!
