Assignment:
This assignment is for you to understand the differences between the types of alterations in the hematologic system and the similarities that occur. From your readings you should be able to compile a list of similarities and differences between the different clotting situations that can occur: Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and a stroke (CVA).
The Venn diagram is used to create a visual of your understanding of where information is both different and similar. The similarities are placed in the intersection of the three intertwining circles and the differences are toward the outside, where the circles do not intersect. There are some differences between the disease processes that make each unique, whereas the also have many things in common. Consider your focus on signs & symptoms, population affected, any diagnostics or treatments.
