Assignment Directions: The purpose of a proposal is to create a trajectory for your Course Project and develop foundational ideas to help your team move forward. You will begin by answering a few key framing questions and will then complete your Developed Outline. Each team member must complete his or her own part of the outline and contribute to the framing of the outline with the introduction and conclusion sections.

Your developed outline will be presented as a sentence outline. As the name suggests, the sentence outline presents complete thoughts in complete sentences as opposed to phrases. In each section of the outline, highlight ideas that help support the Team Thesis and provide a clear idea of the contents of each subsection. Use your research and discussions with your team to help develop your section of the outline. Collaborate to help finalize the introduction and conclusion sections as a team.

Use a complete sentence to provide the response to each of the questions below. Use APA documentation for the final section of the outline to document any sources referenced in your proposal. Remember to put at least two items at any given level of the outline, as shown in this template.

Preliminary Questions

Thesis: Record your preliminary team thesis here.

Style and Form: What do you want the style and tone of the paper to be? What formal elements are you concerned with? How will these individual sections go together?

Order: In what order will the subsection appear? Create an order that best supports the thesis and creates fluid transitions. Use this as a point of reference for your Team Developed Outline.

II. Sectional Outlines (Each team member should create their own section outline. Sections should appear in sequence and must include the author's name at the top of each section.)

1. Main ideas: What is the main idea of you subsection? What areas of analysis will you engage with?

a. Technology: What technologies need to be described?

b. Ethics: How does the team's ethical angle relate to your subtopic?

c. Which areas of analysis will you engage with: social, cultural, economic, or political?

2. Evidence:

a. What evidence have you gathered that supports your section and the Team Thesis?

b. What evidence still needs to be gathered? What are the next steps of your research process?

3. Connection to Thesis: How will your section support the Team Thesis?

4. Relation to other subsections: What other sections does your section have a strong relationship to? How might this help you develop order and transition areas of your team course project?

III. Conclusion

A. What are you proposing to achieve with your project?

B. What will be the call to action for your audience?

IV. References (must be correctly formatted according to APA).
