Create a test case design based on the overall system

Assignment Problem: Read the below case study and answer the questions that follow.

Stanvista General Hospital is a new specialist hospital in Ontario. The hospital has just completed the development of a software package that can be used in the Homecare segment of their organization. The hospital is located in the central portion of Toronto in Ontario Canada, its constituents reside in the largest SMSA (standard metropolitan statistical area) in the province and consist of both rural, suburban, and city residents. The 160-bed facility is a state-of-the-art institution, as 92% of their 28 quality measures are better than the national average. Services offered include Emergency Department, COVID-19 testing, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Maternity, Pharmacy, Open Heart Surgery, and Pediatrics. Additional components of the General Hospital consist of an Imaging Center, a Rehabilitation Center, Four Primary Care Clinics, a Health and Fitness Center, a Wound Healing Center, regional Therapy Centers, and Homecare (the focal point of this study). There are more than 150 physicians on the active medical staff, over 1,300 employees and in excess of 120 volunteers. The hospital is a representative of many similar patient care facilities around the nation and the world.

Home Care, is the portion of health care that is carried out at the patient's home or residence. It is a participatory arrangement that eliminates the need for constant trips to the hospital for routine procedures. For example, patients take their own blood pressure (or heart rate, glucose level, etc.) using a  device hooked up near their bed at home. The results are transmitted to the hospital electronically and are immediately processed, inspected, and monitored by attending staff. In addition, there is a Lifeline feature available to elderly or other homebound individuals. The unit includes a button worn on a necklace or bracelet that the patient can push should they need assistance at any time. Periodically, clinicians (e.g., nurses, physical therapists, etc.) will visit the patient in their home to monitor their progress and perform routine inspections and maintenance on the technology.

You have been approached by the Administration of this General Hospital to perform software testing and quality assurance on the new software system which has been developed to facilitate and help coordinate the Homecare portion of the business.

Question 1: Identify and discuss 4 functional requirements and 2 non-functional requirements that can be tested in the system. Describe what type of test you will need to carry out to ensure quality in each of the functional and non-functional requirements that you have identified.

Question 2: Create a test case design based on the overall system requirements identifying the major features that will need to be tested in the project. Your test case design must show at least 10 test cases with the full contents of a typical test case design for software testing.

Question 3: Identify and briefly describe any 4 use cases that can be tested in this project. Explain how use case testing can help improve the quality of the Homecare system when integrated as part of the software testing and quality assurance activities for the project.
