Discussion 1: "Project Initiation and Communication." Please respond to the following:
Consider the scenario of the Preston Co., described in discussion question #8 at the end of Chapter 4.
• Create a project objective statement for this project.
• Create a balanced set of metrics that could be used to evaluate whether or not the 10K run was a success. Be sure to consider interim measures as well as end of project ones.
• Describe how you would involve team members in the creation of the project objective statement and metrics creation in a project team environment.
Discussion 2: "The Project Team." Please respond to the following:
Continue to consider the scenario described in discussion question #8 at the end of Chapter 4.
• Determine what skills you will need on the project team.
• Assuming that you will have the skills you identified for the project team, predict what skills you might need beyond those available on the team.
• Justify your choices of skills required to successfully complete this project.
