Problem
Unfortunately, your team works at a facility which has not yet implemented an EHR. The HIM department is very dependent on various software systems to functions. The facility still has paper records, but chart requests, disclosure management, dictation systems, chart locators, MPI and chart deficiencies are all computerized.
Create a policy and procedure which outlines how the department would operate if one of these systems went down. You need to create policies and procedures here - one for each system. (Hint: Use a policy and procedure template). Policy and procedure for disclosure management and Procedures for MPI (Master Patient Index)
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
