Assignment task: Read the case study "Le Petit Chef" is accessed through the HBR Course Pack. The link for the course pack is available in the HBR Course Pack folder on Canvas. This case will be used in Assignment 2 as well. The HBR article referenced in week 2 readings is a good overview to read. As discussed in the text, it is important to have a good foundation upon which to build your project portfolio. To build the foundation to enable good project selection, answer the following questions:

a) Create a mission and vision statement for Le Petit Chef. This can be 2 unique statements or combined into one statement.

b) Identify the factors that explain Le Petit Chef's poor performance. In other words, what are the challenges they are facing? Support your ideas with information from the case.

c) Create a set of key objectives for Le Petit Chef using a Balanced Scorecard approach. To do this you need to consider part a) and b) responses. Based on the current situation (what are their problems) and where they want to go (vision), create a simple Balanced Scorecard view of the key objectives. Include the 4 categories financial, customer, operations, and employees. Within each category have at least 1 objective though in some areas you may include additional objectives. For each objective, include the target metric or measure. You can find lots of examples online of Balanced Scorecards.

d) Propose a categorization scheme for Gagne to use to analyze their project portfolio. Include a description of how each category is different.
