When interviewing candidates for a position in any organization it's important to ask all candidates the same questions so a true comparison can be made amongst the candidates. Describe your organization, which should be based on your current or chosen profession, and define the position for which you're interviewing candidates. Then list five to ten questions you plan to ask each candidate. For each question provide a sentence or two explaining why you feel it is important. Be sure your questions comply with the rules, regulations, and laws addressed in the reading.
Use the links provided in the class and some of your own Internet searching to research the governance information and structure surrounding your current or chosen profession. For example if you're a college women's basketball coach you might review the WBCA and the NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA (depending your school's membership status). Then choose another profession, for example athletic trainer. Provide an analysis and critique of the two organizations' governance guidelines and structure as well as any suggestions for improvement.
2 Create a detailed plan for hosting an event. What steps will you take to ensure good communication? What other checklists or time management tools would you use? In the plan, include a plan for budgeting, media operations, publicity, promotions, pre-event preparations, in-event operations, and post game duties. Initial posts should be a minimum of 500 words. 3 Social media (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc.) is one area of the Internet that has really grown in recent years. How has this changed the scope and use of Internet activities, particularly as it pertains to sporting events? How would you incorporate social media into a marketing plan and event promotion? How would you evaluate the success of the social media approach? Instructions: Your initial post should be at least 500 words.
As an event leader, what legal issues should be addressed? List and describe how these three areas apply to sporting events:

With all the corruption and politics that have been involved in sports over the years both in the U.S. and internationally some might argue that sport is so intrinsically tied to politics that it is naïve to believe that it could ever be free from political actions like boycotts. Others contend that athletes or fans bear the unfair burden for political uses of sport, especially boycotts.
After reading response the following:
• Choose an instance of a boycott or strike in sports and briefly discuss it (it can be from the U.S. or internationally).
• Who suffered in your opinion the most from the strike or boycott?
