Your Diet Makeover

The purpose of assignment is to help individuals make changes to current eating patterns, thus improving their diet. You will select 3 goals/changes to make each day and then re-analyze your diet record with the new proposed changes and see how helpful those changes would be for you. Then you will write a paper to discuss your findings and reflections.

1. Using your computer dietary analysis, identify three specific dietary goals. These goals should be for specific nutrients (e.g. decreasing saturated fat intake, increasing dietary fiber intake, increasing calcium intake, etc.) not general food goals (eating more fruit, eating more whole grain foods, increasing CHO or water intake).

2. Retrieve your original diet from your computer, online, or previous homework assignment.

a. For each of the three days, make THREE dietary changes (they can be additions, reductions, and/or substitutions, but not simple deletion of foods) for a total of NINE dietary changes.

b. These changes should reflect the goals set for improving your diet.

3. Create a new profile (see detailed diet makeover detailed instructions for assistance) and re-enter your diet with the dietary changes. You should now have two profiles: original and revised.
