A well-organized company will always have at least one issue when it comes to expanding the business into new territory. San Jose is a new area that Comcast has been looking to expand to increase their geographical service territory. The expansion is a big thing for any given business because you have a lot of different concerns when wanting to branch off into new areas. Making sure the company will get their profit out of the extension is an unknown issue but other issues can be prevented by researching within the city limits. Some of the problems that can be troublesome would be if we can higher enough employees to service and do door to door sales in the area, would we get enough popularity into our products and also would the city be able to house a small headquarters for our headend equipment.

The main issue we will be identifying will be the employment one. Can Comcast be able to higher enough employees to properly manage the city limits without having to need a helping hand from other areas? A workday consists of enough job to keep all the technician in the field busy until the end of their shift, but also it requires enough technician to be able to complete all tasks for the city without falling behind for the day. In the first couple months, they will provide experienced techs for the area to properly get it up and run efficiently and also while the new hires get trained by the Comcast University.

This is the biggest problem that Comcast would face because it can cause the company a lot of profit if the sales employees aren't able to get new customers in the city or if the technicians can't correctly complete each job and satisfy the customers with our products. Many other big companies that take in a new area tend to lose customers due to the unfortunate lack of knowledge of the environment.

Kim Walsh from San Jose's economic development director said, "San Jose is a key city as we think how we will accommodate the job growth to come in Silicon Valley over the next 20 to 30 years" (Avalos,2012). This is a big thing that can benefit them from getting new technology and company to invest in the city. In North San Jose, there have been numerous other businesses picking up buildings to invest in the growth of the city. "This shows that Silicon Valley is alive and well and growing," San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed said. "That is happening all over the valley. And San Jose is included in that growth" (Avalos,2012).

A defined problem for anything can be beneficial because you know what it is that you have to concentrate on to properly function. This gives a considerable advantage and provides a more efficient transit into new geographical areas. One good example of lousy misfortune was in 2014 when Comcast expanded into the city of Coalinga. Unfortunately, less than two years later we ended up leaving the field and had a significant loss of profit. This happened because we didn't do a proper research of the area and had no help from locals when it came to hiring techs in the area to service their city.
