Read Chapter 1 to understand the difference between Health Education and Health Promotion and the relationship between the two.
Also visit nchec to understand what Health Educators/Health Education Specialists do and the need for them. In addition, become clear on what it takes to become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Now create a 2 pages document that would inform a high school student or college freshman about a profession as a Health Educator.
Include items such as how to prepare, where (setting) they might work, what they would do (duties/responsibilities), how they could grow/excel in the field, and anything else you think might be pertinent and interesting to your audience. Use ANY format you choose to communicate this information...be creative.
