Cow Farts Causes Climate Change?
Though Climate Change a big topic to discuss as a whole, I wanted to focus more on how methane fits into this huge global crisis. One of the ways how we as people contribute to that existing Climate Change is through our hunger and consumption of meat. I am not saying everyone should go vegan because I myself am not. I am just delivering the facts that if we consume fewer meats such as cattle then there would be less agriculture of farm animals. That is a big deal because domestic animals such as cattle, goats, and sheep produce methane, a greenhouse gas that is even more harmful than carbon dioxide. Actually, according to a site called how stuff works, they state that "methane is 23 times more harmful than carbon dioxide. Agriculture is responsible for an estimated 14 percent of the world's greenhouse gases".(Silverman Jacob) What do you guys think about this?
