OPENING VIGNETTE Hannah is in her ?rst counseling position after graduating with her master's degree. She is leading a group in the crisis unit at the mental health center. Two members, Malik and Sallyann, have expressed anger toward Hector and told Hannah they will stop coming to group if she does not control his comments. Also, anothermember, Frannie,isnarrow-mindedand judgmental about other members' behavior. At the beginning of the last session, Louisshared thathe's discriminated against because he is openly gay. Hector said he likes looking at rainbows in the sky, and Frannie attacked Louis for being gay. Hannah felt overwhelmed with all that was going on and did not handle the situation well.
