I believe that the U.S. ranks relatively low on the perceptions of the least and most corrupt countries because of the media. The media is a very powerful tool and no where was that more apparent than during the debt ceiling debacle that occurred just a month ago. by turning political parties against each other i believe that the media exposed the bipartisan parties as stubborn and corrupt politicians who only care about their own agendas. Hollywood and the U.S. television channels are the most watched media across the globe and they play a major role in the perception of the U.S. corruption along with other stereotypes.
